Reading a form's photo requirement correctly

Application forms usually state two independent constraints: a pixel dimension (or physical size like 3.5 × 4.5 cm) and a maximum file size in KB. Some state only one. When both are listed, satisfy them in a single pass — resize to the stated pixels first, then let the target-size search bring the file under the KB ceiling, exactly as the preset above does. When only a size is listed, skip resizing entirely: quality reduction alone usually reaches the limit at full resolution, which keeps more detail.

Common form scenarios and where they live on this site: a signature field with a tight 50 KB cap → signature resizer; a photo field with dimensions specified in the notification → passport photo resizeror exact-dimension resize; a plain "photo under 100KB" field →compress to 100KB; screenshots or full-page captures that are oversized because they were saved as PNG →PNG to JPG conversion.

This page deliberately does not quote requirements from any specific department, university, or exam body — those figures change between notifications. Check your current official instructions, then enter them in the editor. Processing runs entirely in your browser, so identity photos and documents are never uploaded.

Form questions

Online Form Photo FAQ

How do I compress a photo for an online form?

Pick your requirement below — e.g. Govt form (200 KB), Passport (100 KB), Signature (50 KB). Upload opens the editor with target size, dimensions, and format pre-filled. Press Compress and download.

What if my form needs different dimensions?

Every preset is a starting point. In the editor, switch Resize to Exact W×H and type the pixels your notification specifies, then re-run — the target-size search adapts automatically.

Are form documents private?

Yes. ID photos and certificates are processed locally in your browser and never uploaded.
