How compression works here

When you drop in a JPEG, it is processed locally on your device using WebAssembly image codecs (the Squoosh/jsquash family, including a MozJPEG-based JPEG encoder). Your photos go from your disk, through your browser’s memory, back to a download — there is no pipe they could leak through.

What stays on your device

To move your images from the upload step to the editor, your browser temporarily keeps them in its own local storage (IndexedDB) on your device. This data never leaves your machine. It is removed when you clear the queue with the Clear button, or whenever you clear the site’s browsing data.

What we don’t collect

• No image content, filenames, or compression settings — we never see them.
• No accounts, emails, or personal details — there is nowhere to enter them.
• No analytics or tracking scripts — we run none, so there is nothing to opt out of.
• No cookies set by us.

Third parties your browser contacts

The page loads fonts from Google Fonts and compression codecs from the esm.sh CDN. When your browser fetches those files, those providers necessarily see standard request metadata (such as your IP address), governed by their own privacy policies. Your image bytes are not part of those requests.

Children

This is a general-purpose utility with no accounts and no data collection, suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, children included.
